Chattahoochee river and savannah river
The Savannah river is one of the longest and largest waterway in the state of Georgia. The waterway most define the boundary of Georgia to South Carolina. The Savannah river flows though forest, agriculture lands and large hydroelectric reservoirs. Its it known for its prehistoric native american villages. The river provides drinkable water for the two metropolitan areas Augusta and Savannah. Also the Savannah river is drinking water for city's in South Carolina. The port of Savannah is 28 miles up stream to the coast of the Atlantic ocean.
The Chattahoochee river rises though the blue ridge Mountains the goes south to the Alabama boundary. The river passes though the fall line going into Florida where its known as Apalachicola. There are evidence that early civilizations were were living among the Chattahoochee river. The river is mainly dependent on the hydroelectric power for city's. The river was used for transporting goods but now use for power and recreation.
